About the Project
CROSS II is a European project focused on improving agricultural monitoring through the use of satellite data and advanced technologies. It supports the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) by providing tools, methods, and best practices for more efficient and accurate monitoring of agricultural activities.
Building on previous work, the project applies technologies such as Sentinel satellite data and remote sensing to better identify crop types and support decision-making, particularly in the context of agriculture in Cyprus.
Objectives
CROSS II aims to improve agricultural monitoring and CAP implementation by:
- Supporting the use of satellite data for agricultural monitoring
- Improving crop identification and classification methods
- Applying remote sensing technologies in real-world scenarios
- Supporting the adoption of CAP monitoring tools in Cyprus
- Transferring knowledge to national stakeholders and agencies
